Our Rainbow Baby Shower

We rounded out this past week with a drive-by baby shower—it was lovely! Hunter and I have been in isolation for most of this pregnancy, so it was really special to see loved ones before the baby is born.

Baby showers can be tough during pregnancy after loss because it’s scary to prepare for the baby’s arrival when you’ve experienced that that’s not always guaranteed. We never got to have a baby shower with Ellis because our invitations went out the day he was stillborn.

I questioned how I would feel about having a shower with this babe, but it just felt right to do it. Like I’ve said before, I don’t want to live under the shadow of fear.

I’m so glad we did it. We’re feeling loved, hopeful, supported, and excited.
