Updates and a New Internship

Apparently I am long overdue for a blog post! I have neglected my online presence for the past couple months because I'm trying to negotiate a new website/blog combo. To give you some updates:

  • I applied, interviewed, and was accepted for two different graduate internships, one at Artpace San Antonio for the summer and one at the Blanton Museum in Austin for next fall and spring semesters
  • After the spring semester ended at the beginning of May, I traveled to New York to attend a 2-day marathon film screening of the NYU graduate film students' second year short films and finally got to see one of my best friends' Charles' latest film, Oysters Rockefeller. It was so good that I cried, not necessarily because the story moved me to, but because it was just so overwhelming to witness a close friend's hard work paying off in such an incredible way.  Everyone watch out for Charles Rogers...

  • Most recently, I moved out of my beloved treehouse in Austin's Hyde Park to temporarily live back home with my parents for my full-time, two-month internship at Artpace in San Antonio. I have already pre-leased an apartment in Hyde Park for August 1st and am excited for a change of scenery!

What I really want to get to is the juicy part...telling you about my new internship at Artpace, which so far has been pretty fabulous. CLICK HERE to read my first post on the Artpace blog!
