Clay Animations Inspired by Sandy Skoglund

For those of you who have followed my blog for a while, you might remember Sandy Skoglund, a contemporary photographer whose fascinating and colorful work was on exhibit recently at the McNay Museum, where I also attended her lecture.

My good friend Angela Houdyshell, the Coordinator of Family Resources at the Denver Art Museum, sent me this short animation inspired by Skoglund's intricate and unusual installations. Kids from the museum's 2011 summer camp collaborated to create these animations using clay figures similar to Skoglund's large-scale sculptures.
